Toybox Heroes is
an original game developed by a core team of fifteen students over a
period of six months. It is built on Half-Life 2's Source SDK
Base.
The primary design requirement for this six-month
project was simulate a console-style multiplayer
experience. To this end, the game was designed to be playable on
a single
screen, support PlayStation 2 controllers, and consist of small
"vignette" levels.
Toybox Heroes
supports LAN play for 2-4 players.
Toybox Heroes
was specifically developed for use with PlayStation 2
controllers. In order to connect a PS2 controller to your
computer, you will require a PS2-to-USB adapter. Toybox Heroes has been successfully
tested with other gamepad devices, but compatibility is not guaranteed.
Instructions for configuring Toybox Heroes for keyboard input
are available on the FAQ page.
